Resolution of a dispute by way of litigation involves not only preparation of a suit and following it through in a court of law. It takes much more to make it a success. Many pre-litigation steps are involved, the careful monitoring of which, increases manifold the prospects of success. Aggarwal Associates advises clients on document retention and maintenance, privileged communication, admissibility of evidence, discovery procedures and all other matters which can arise in the event of a dispute.

The emphasis of Aggarwal Associates is on dispute resolution rather that litigation. In principle, we do not advise clients to litigate where alternative dispute-resolution avenues would suffice. Legal counsel, right in the nascent stages, can eliminate future unpleasant shocks. Aggarwal Associates prefers in settlement of disputes by way of mediation, negotiations, arbitration and reconciliation.

Besides having extensive experience of litigation in the various High Courts and in the Supreme Court of India, the Firm’s major part of work involves conducting domestic arbitration, including related applications in the appropriate Courts of Law.
